Workstation Requirements

Unlike many so-called thin-client or client-server aviation maintenance applications on the market today RAAS requires no special software to be installed on the user workstation. RAAS operates inside of Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) version 5.5 or higher. This means that any computer on your network, or Intranet, that has MSIE installed will be capable of running RAAS. This fact alone can reduce ongoing system maintenance by up to 90 percent compared to traditional client-server applications.

User workstation hardware requirements are not significant either. The only requirement is that each workstation be able to operate at 1024x768 screen resolution because RAAS is designed with screens that fit 1024x768. We strongly recommend high quality graphics cards and high quality 17 inch (or larger) monitors capable of higher horizontal scan rates (72Hz or higher) for greater overall user comfort.
